The Continental series of riflescopes from Vector Optics boasts high durability, expert craftsmanship and outstanding optical performance.
The tube is made from 6061 T6 aircraft-grade aluminium, has a diameter of 30 mm and is filled with nitrogen, which prevents the lenses from fogging during sudden temperature changes. This model meets the IPX6 standard and is therefore resistant to water ingress.
The greatest highlight of this riflescope is undoubtedly its optical system. German LaREE lenses and VePRO FMC ensure a crystal-clear image and, combined with the 50 mm objective lens, offer up to 90% light transmission. This allows you to use this model even in low-light conditions.
The adjustment turrets also deserve attention. The top elevation turret features Zero Stop, which allows you to zero the turret at any sighted-in distance while preventing you from dialling below that setting. You can therefore easily return to your chosen starting position. The right-hand windage turret is lockable, so you need to pull it up before each adjustment.
The clicks are very distinct, and each click is easy to identify. Adjustments are in milliradians, with each click equal to 1/10 MRAD (1 cm at 100 m). The left-hand turret allows you to adjust the parallax, which is adjustable from 10 yards (9,14 m) to infinity. You can also adjust the reticle illumination here. There are 6 brightness levels to choose from. The illumination is powered by a single CR2032 lithium battery (not included), which simply needs to be inserted into the left-hand turret.
The VCT-10A tactical reticle is etched directly onto the lens glass and can withstand recoil equivalent to up to 6000 J. The reticle is clearly visible and is located in the second focal plane, so the selected magnification does not affect its size.
The package includes a two-piece Picatinny rail mount, a sunshade, a spare elevation turret, objective lens caps and an optics cleaning cloth.
This model can withstand 750 g (a unit of gravitational acceleration), which is equivalent to the recoil of firearms in .223 and .308 calibres.
