This model was designed primarily for use on crossbows, which is reflected in its ARC reticle. However, it can also be used without any issues as a riflescope on an air rifle. The individual reticle marks can be zeroed at different distances according to the specific air rifle and ammunition used, allowing them to compensate for bullet drop.
Valiant Kronos optics have undergone demanding tests to withstand the toughest conditions. The reinforced tube is made from a single piece of aircraft-grade duralumin and is nitrogen-filled. This prevents internal fogging of the optical system during sudden temperature changes. The etched glass reticle is extremely resistant to vibrations.
The fixed 4x magnification makes this model an ideal choice for shooting at shorter distances. The objective lens has a diameter of 40 mm and, together with the 30mm tube provides more than sufficient light transmission. This is further enhanced by a special multi-coated lens coating with anti-reflective treatment. This makes it possible to observe objects even in poor lighting conditions.
The parallax is fixed at 50 yards, and dioptric adjustment in the range of −3 to +3 is also included.
The etched glass ARC reticle was designed primarily for use on crossbows. However, its individual horizontal marks are not fixed to specific distances, so they can be used just as effectively when shooting with an air rifle.
After zeroing the main point at the selected distance, you can verify the additional marks for longer distances and then use them for bullet-drop correction without the need to adjust the elevation and windage turrets.
The low-profile adjustment turrets are exposed and allow quick adjustment in any conditions. The clicks are precise, with one click equal to 1/2 MOA.
The left turret controls the reticle illumination and contains a compartment for a CR2032 battery (not included). Brightness can be adjusted across 11 red illumination settings.
