Fenix HL16 is an ideal choice if you are looking for a versatile and compact light source for outdoor use.
The body of the flashlight is made of durable PC polycarbonate, so it easily withstands a fall from a height of 1.5 m. It also meets the IP66 protection rating, so it resists dust, moisture, and even heavy rain. The headlamp is comfortable to wear thanks to the elastic perforated strap, which reliably wicks away sweat and also increases visibility after dark thanks to the reflective inserts.
The main light source is a new-generation LUMINUS SST20 diode, which delivers a light output of 450 lumens up to a distance of 104 m. The neutral colour of the light is easy on the eyes and ensures natural colour rendering of the surroundings and the ability to distinguish even the smallest details. As an auxiliary light source, there is a red 2835 diode, which, unlike white light, does not dazzle and is therefore perfect, among other things, for reading a map at night.
There are 4 white light modes (constant) and 2 red light modes (constant and SOS). Control is via two buttons, whose size allows operation without removing gloves. After switching off, the headlamp remembers the last selected mode (except for Turbo mode). During transport, the headlamp can be locked to prevent accidental activation.
Power is supplied by widely available and inexpensive 3x AAA batteries with a runtime of up to 3 hours in Turbo mode.
