Cleaning firearms

Corrosion and built-up fouling are the greatest enemies of firearms. After every shot, various residues remain in the barrel – remnants of gunpowder, lead and copper. These residues act aggressively on the bore – both chemically and mechanically. In addition to a quality gun oil you will need a proper cleaning kit. For example from the American company Real Avid. It also offers a universal cleaning kit with mat, which will come in handy especially if you own firearms in different calibres. For an initial pass through the barrel directly at the range or while hunting, a boresnake is ideal.

Cleaning an air rifle

Every gun needs care. Although maintaining an air rifle may seem easier than with a firearm fouled by combustion residues, it is not a good idea to neglect it.
