It is a relatively lightweight break‑barrel air rifle. As is usual with Gamo, the Socom Storm does not have a wooden, but a polymer stock. The complete rifle is logically complemented by other metal components that ensure high shooting quality.
And no wonder. At first glance you will see that you can adjust the cheekpiece height to suit your needs. An Allen key supplied in the package is used for this. Another thing you will notice the first time you take the Socom Storm in your hands is the Truglo fibre‑optic sights. These significantly simplify aiming. Shooting will then be almost effortless for you, especially in low‑light conditions. You can also adjust the sights both vertically and horizontally.
What an average user will not notice at first sight is the fact that the stock is suitable for both right‑handed and left‑handed shooters. The 11mm rail for mounting a riflescope is a bit harder to find. The barrel of this air rifle is rifled. A practical safety will also certainly make a positive impression on you. It looks like a smaller version of the trigger and is located directly in front of it. So if you want to shoot comfortably and without unnecessary repositioning of your hand, you will be pleasantly surprised by the option of disengaging the safety and firing with one finger.
The air rifle Gamo Socom Storm is designed for pellets with a calibre of 4.5 mm. It fires them with the maximum possible energy permitted by Czech legislation, 16 joules.
