WARNING! Due to the atypical shape of the flight groove, this crossbow can be used ONLY with Barnett Hyperflite arrows.
Barnett Hyperghost 425 belongs among compound crossbows suitable for hunting. It’s no wonder that the American brand Barnett is a top player on the market. You will immediately see the difference between this brand and cheaper Chinese-made crossbows at first glance. The body of the crossbow is made of high‑quality, durable polymer in a premium darker camo finish. On the forearm and in the grip area you will find a rubberised, non-slip surface, so the crossbow will not slip out of your hands, even when sweaty. Comfort and quality are further enhanced by the metal trigger and the CNC‑machined aluminium arrow flight groove.
With a draw weight of 206 lb, it ranks among the most powerful crossbows on the market. The fired arrows leave the limbs at a speed of 425 fps, i.e. just under 130 m/s. To outrun the arrow, you would have to reach a speed exceeding 465 km/h. Arrow release is handled by TriggerTech technology, which also minimises friction of the arrow in the crossbow. The arrow thus leaves the body of the crossbow very quickly and heads straight to the target.
Safety is ensured by a clearly visible and easily accessible safety on both sides of the crossbow. A comfortable grip on the forearm is protected by a finger guard. String dampeners ensure quiet shooting. In the lower part of the crossbow there is a concealed underarm support, which you can fold out or fold back in a moment, as needed.
The high draw weight naturally means more demanding cocking of the string. The manufacturer has taken this into account and prepared the stock for a rope cocking winch. The mounting holes for it are hidden under the rubber cheekpiece. To release it, simply press the button on the butt pad. The winch proved its worth already when cocking the strong strings of medieval war and hunting crossbows. Barnett, however, has refined its design and integrated it directly into the stock. The winch is not included.
The crossbow is fitted with a raised 22 mm Weaver rail, on which the manufacturer has already mounted an illuminated 1.5–5x32 crossbow scope with a fine reticle. In the front section of the body, you will find three more 22 mm rails for mounting accessories such as an arrow holder or a flashlight. In addition to the scope and 3‑arrow holder, the package also includes a manual rope cocker, string/cable wax, and three 22" Barnett HyperFlite arrows with special nocks.
