Barnett Explorer XP400 belongs among compound crossbows suitable for hunting. It is no wonder that the American brand Barnett is a top player on the market. At first glance you will notice the difference between this brand and cheaper Chinese-made crossbows. High-quality durable polymer in camo finish, a metal trigger and a CNC-machined aluminium arrow rail together create a precision crossbow.
With a draw weight of 200 lb it ranks among the most powerful crossbows in our offer. The fired bolts leave the limbs at a speed of 400 fps, i.e. over 120 m/s. To outrun a bolt, you would have to reach a speed exceeding 440 km/h. Bolt release is ensured by TriggerTech technology, which also minimises friction of the bolt in the crossbow. The bolt thus leaves the crossbow body very quickly and heads straight to the target.
Safety is provided by a clearly visible and easily accessible safety on both sides of the crossbow. A comfortable foregrip is protected by a finger guard. A string dampener provides quiet shooting.
The crossbow also boasts a manually adjustable stock length with a rubber buttpad and height-adjustable cheekpiece. Thanks to this it will adapt even to shooters with an atypical body type. You unlock the stock by pressing the safety on the underside of the stock. The cheekpiece is fixed in the desired position simply by hand-tightening the polymer nut. No special tools are needed for adjustment.
The crossbow is fitted with a raised 22 mm Weaver rail, on which the manufacturer has already mounted a 4x32 crossbow scope. In the front part of the body you will find three additional 22 mm rails for mounting accessories such as a bolt holder or a flashlight. The package includes, in addition to the crossbow scope and 3-bolt quiver, a cocking rope, string wax and two 20" carbon bolts.
